Care Instructions
- Inserting the Candle: To avoid damage to both the candle and the glass cylinder, do not drop the candle into the glass. Hold the candle by the wick and slowly lower it into the glass at a 45-degree angle.
- Removing the Candle: For easiest removal, burn the candle down to the last 2 cm, then add warm water to the vase so that the wax disc floats to the top.
- Partially Used Candles: If the candle is only slightly used, removal is more difficult as the lip of the glass vase curves in at the top and the candle may have melted to fill the full width of the vase.
-
- Cooling Method: Using cold water, or placing the room temperature candle and cylinder in the fridge, can cause the wax to shrink and come away from the glass.
- Heating Method: Alternatively, use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften parts of the candle that may be catching on the glass. Be careful not to burn yourself on hot glass.
- Glassware: Adding candles into glassware, such as a glass cylinder or sleeve, affects burn time due to the added heat and trapped hot air. Burning a candle in too small glassware may cause rapid burning, dripping, or pooling.
- Flame Proximity: Do not allow flames within 2 cm of or to directly touch the holder as this may result in damaging the holder.
- Washing: Hand wash only. Use a soft, clean cloth to prevent scratching and abrasion.
- Water Temperature: Do not clean with hot or boiling water.
- Soaking: Do not soak.
- Scrubbing: Do not scrub.
- Wax Removal: Do not use sharp instruments such as a knife to remove wax from holders as this can result in scratching.
- Drying: Dry completely before storing.
